Founding butchers: three months free, set-up included, for the first three. See how it works

Built in a butcher's shop, not in an office

Every part of BlockWorks exists because something went wrong on a working morning and needed fixing, not because it looked good in a sales pitch.

The trade side of a butcher's runs on WhatsApps at eleven at night, weights that change on the scales, vans out before it's light and invoices that have to match the paper copy. Most ordering software starts by telling your customers to learn a new app. Chefs don't. So BlockWorks starts the other way round: it takes the order the way it turns up and does the retyping for you.

That's why it sells each, by the kilo and by the box on the same product, why the driver's page keeps working in a basement with no signal, and why a lot number follows the meat from the delivery you bought to the box you sent out. Those aren't extras. They're what a trade butcher's day actually needs.

BlockWorks is in daily use at a working trade butcher's: orders, rounds and the drivers' phones, with real customers and real vans.

Who's behind it

BlockWorks is made by Butchers Block Advisory, Tony's business. When you ring about BlockWorks, you speak to Tony, not a call centre.

We load your products, prices and customers for you, and we're on the end of the phone when something doesn't look right. We'd rather tell you straight that BlockWorks isn't the right fit than sell you something that isn't.

How we work with you

  • No contract. You stay because it's useful, and you can stop any month.
  • Your customers, your prices and your money. We never take a cut of your orders.
  • We say what's working, what's new and what isn't built yet, on the features page and on the demo.
